2nd Years Visit Castlecomer Discovery Park


2nd year Numeracy & Literacy trip to Castlecomer Discovery Park, Friday 9th March. Mrs H. Foley, Mr. K. O’Sullivan & Mrs M. McGrath led the group on a very successful trip that was both educational and thoroughly enjoyable. Students braved the longest zip line in Ireland, orienteered the woodlands and mastered a Mathematics trail.

Cully & Sully - Grow it Yourself Challenge

Following the success of a group of our 1st Year students last year in the Cully & Sully, "Give Peas a Chance" project, a further group of 1st Year Business Studies students along with their teacher Ms Margo McGann are taking up the challenge to grow their own Rocket leaves and create a soup recipe from their produce. Last week the class completed the first stage of the challenge, they planted their Rocket plants. Best of luck to you all.

2nd Year German Students visit Germany

 

As part of a student exchange programme organised by Ms Bríd O'Kennedy a group of fifteen 2nd Year German students travelled to Marta Schanzenbach Gymnasium (Grammar School) located in Genegenbach in the Black Forest region of Germany.

Fota Wildlife Park

On Thursday 8th March Mrs. H. Foley & her 5th Yr LCVP class accompanied by Mr D. McCarthy attended Fota Wildlife Park. The day started out with an insightful lecture highlighting the business aims, mission statement, structure and finances followed by a very interesting behind the scenes tour of the park. Much fun and inspiration was gained by all.
