Opera at Lismore Castle

On Thursday 1st June twenty students along with their music teacher Ms Kelley Gardiner and Ms Margo McGann attended this years Schools Education and Community Access Programme for the production of Gaetano Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore at the Lismore Opera Festival. It was a fantastic experience and an amazing venue in the beautiful surroundings of Lismore Castle. The Opera was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

1st Years Bid Farewell to 6th Year Mentors

The First Year class of 2016/17 spent some time with their 6th Year mentors to say a big "thank you" for all the help and support they received from them over the academic year 2016/17. The Mentoring Programme initiated by Ms Elaine Moore has been running very successfuly for the past number of years. Many thanks to Ms Moore and her mentoring team.

Irish Junior Maths Competition

Six students from St. Augustine's College recently took part in the regional final of the Irish Junior Maths competition. The students, Ian Connors, Genevieve Fogarty, Maeve Griffin, Mary Ellen Kelly, Brendan O Mahony, and, Elizabeth Power, qualified for the final from the first round completed by all the first year students. After a one hour exam, one of our students, Brendan took first place with a result of 100%, a score that has not been achieved in the last 2 years nationally. Well done and a big thank you to all the students for representing your school.
