Internet Resilience

Our Parents' Association AGM takes place in the school canteen on Tuesday, October 17th at 7pm. Guest speaker is Mr Pat KcKenna, founder of "Child Watch Ireland" Child Watch is a technical organisation specialising in the protection of children online. Mr McKenna will give a presentation on "Internet Resilience". All are welcome.

Lawlor's Hotel was the venue for the Credit Union Art Awards with four Friary students receiving awards on Thursday last.

Aftermath of Ophelia

Thankfully no structural damage was caused to the school following yesterday's storm. However quite a number of trees came down on the grounds. Here are some snapshots of the damage. We advise those who make use of the school grounds for training purposes after school hours to exercise extreme caution.

School Closed on Tuesday, October 17th

School remains closed tomorrow Tuesday. Open on Wednesday. Parents’ Assoc. AGM and Internet Safety Day postponed for the present.

Prior General Visits St Augustine’s

General visit

Most Rev. Alejandro Moral Anton OSA, Prior General of the Augustinian Order visited the college last Thursday, following a prayer service with 1st Year students Fr Alejandro met with college staff and 6th Year mentors. It was a special day for the college and we wish to tank Fr Alejandro for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit The Friary College.

School re-opens tomorrow Wednesday 18th October for all students.

School Closed Monday 16th October

Due to severe weather alert warnings for the Waterford area. School will remain closed tomorrow,Monday 16th. School as normal on Tuesday. 

Kildalton College Open Day

Accompanied by Ms Joan Ann Kelleher (Ag. Science Teacher) our Leaving Certificate Agricultural Science class got to spend the day down on the farm at Kildalton College Open Day. What a great opportunity for the class to experience the real world of farming, a welcome break away from the classroom.
