TY Activities October 16th

Week beginning October 16th
▪ All TY students have an internet Safety Workshop on Tuesday.
▪ TY 5 have Yoga on Thursday.
▪ Sports Club, Games Club, Smarter Travel & Green Schools Clubs are all running this week.
▪ Stuents who would like to join up to a new Book Club give your name to Ms.Kelleher. 
▪ Rehearsals this week, check the noticeboard.
▪ Any student who wishes to apply for the  Mini Med Programme  please see Ms.Sheehan.
▪ Any students who would like to go to see “We Will Rock You“ in Waterford on Tuesday night please give your name to Mr Knightly

Martial Arts World Championships

The World Martial Arts Championships took place in the ALSSA Sports and Leisure Complex, Dublin on the weekend of Friday, October 12th.

TY Activities- 9th October

▪On Monday afternoon rehearsals are scheduled for 'We Will Rock You'. Those not needed will travel to Clonea Hotel Leisure Centre, choices of swimming, bowling or the gym are available for students.
▪Tuesday Ms. McGann has organised a trip for the students.
▪ TY 4 have Yoga on Thursday.
▪ Sports Club, Smarter Travel, Green School & Games Club are all up and running.
▪ Well done to those students who took partin the “ Build a Bank” interviews last week. Successful candidates will be announced this week.

Week 6th of November
▪ Traffic School Module Will be held in the canteen. Each class have a full days workshop. Please see the noticeboard for class times and days.
▪ All TY students have a Internet Safety Workshop on Tuesday. 
▪ TY 4 students are going to Care Choice on Thursday to participate in activities with some of the residents.
▪ Sports, Board Games, Smarter Travel and Green Schools Clubs are all on this week.
▪ Rehearsals will be held this week. It is very important to check the noticeboard each morning. Only those whose names are on the rehearsal sheet will be allowed leave class.

▪ Mini Med essays are due by Thursday please.
▪ All TY students have an interactive fun maths challenge this Thursday from 2 to 4pm.
▪ Students who are going to Waterford for the OT workshop please see notice board for details.

On Tuesday 10th of October a group of sixty Transition Year Students visited Crinnaghtaun Apple Juice as part of their Sustainable Living & Self Sufficiency class.

Week of the 2nd October.
▪GAA Coaching Module this week for all who signed up. Bring PE gear & be in the canteen for 9.
▪ Engineering opportunity for those interested,  see notice board.
▪ Lancaster Labs are giving a week's work experience for one TY student. Details on the notice board.
▪ Sports, Smarter Travel and Green School Clubs are all up and running, check notice board.
▪ Please remember that anyone not needed for rehearsals Monday afternoon will be going to Clonea;  choice of swimming, bowling or gym.
